HUSKER EVOLUTION
Our journey began in 1988 when founder, Jim Mack, recognized the need for high-quality lawn care services in the Lincoln, NE community and established Husker Lawn Service. Over the next 20+ years, Husker Lawn would grow to one of Lincoln’s most trusted partners, providing mowing and and fertilization services for its ever-growing customer base.
By 2012, increased demand for fertilization, weed control, and other turf care services lead Jim to divide the company in two. Husker Lawn would retain mowing as its core service. Husker Fertilizing & Aerating Service, Jim’s new company, would focus on high-quality lawn care services.
The Husker Story
Over the next 12 years, Jim’s reputation for delivering exceptional results spread, leading to a growing base of satisfied clients who valued his expertise, reliability, and friendly approach. Jim would continue to build Husker Fertilizing & Aerating, always looking for ways to add value for his customers.
With this mission in mind, Jim, and Husker Fertilizing & Aerating, joined Ryan Lawn & Tree in 2024. This collaboration expanded the range of services available to clients—including tree pruning & removal, plant health care, pest control, landscaping, and irrigation, we can now cater to all aspects of outdoor living!
We added the PLUS to represent our additional capabilities, our larger, 100% employee-owned team, and the added value we strive to provide. Looking forward, we are excited to continue serving the community with passion and dedication as Husker Fertilizer+.
